The Power Management System can have the following functions (customizable):
Protection, monitoring and indication of generators and ship's power grid; fault detection and alarm, automatic switching and shutdown control of generator sets; preparation of generator standby logic and starting/synchronizing and shutdown/tripping according to load principle; automatic starting and connection of standby generators after power grid outage, sequential starting of auxiliary pumps; automatic speed and frequency regulation of generators, automatic balancing/unbalanced active load distribution; automatic shedding in priority of unimportant loads; large load starting control (heavy load interrogation and starting permission); and data communication with ship monitoring and alarm system, etc.
There are three operation modes: manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic.
Ø Manual mode is the traditional operation mode.
Ø Semi-automatic mode can effectively prevent mistake operation while satisfying manual operation habits. Only one button is pressed for synchronizing and tripping, and the rest of the work is done automatically by PMS.
Ø The fully automatic mode is controlled by the PMS according to the information of load change and equipment status to automatically control the power generation of the unit and the power consumption of the equipment, without any manual operation.
Intuitive monitoring method: The combination of graphics, sound and light shows image directly. The equipment operation status and fault information are displayed clearly.
