Phase A of Shanghai Electric’s Dubai Phase V Photovoltaic Project Successfully Connected to the Grid

　　Recently, Phase A of Shanghai Electric’s Dubai Phase V Photovoltaic Project was connected to the grid, and the thermal commissioning of main equipment such as tracking brackets and inverters started immediately. In the face of the severe epidemic situation overseas, the project has been appreciated by the owner and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority since the project was started in October last year, until the phase A power was received successfully in onetime at the beginning of this month and was successfully connected to the grid this time.

　　As the site is located in desert with severe climit, the dust accumulated on photovoltaic plates seriously affects power generation efficiency. In order to steadily advance the power generation plan, the project team, on the one hand, organized all the participating units to carry out the work of cleaning and eliminating defects, and on the other hand, overcame the local hot weather of over 50°C to ensure the progress of cleaning and meet the schedule requirement of grid connection. Up to now, the grid-connected load has reached 150MW and we are making every effort to reach the target of 300MW full generation and strive to pass the reliability trial production and performance test as soon as possible.
